The Role
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic part time Kitchen Assistant to join our small, kitchen team on a casual basis (average 20 hrs per week).
You’ll support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team in delivering a beautiful food service to our members and event clients. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
The hourly rate is £13.50 and we are very flexible with how the hours are split across the week. We are open Mon-Fri (8am until late) but there would be occasional weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and back-of-house.
Wash and sanitise crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen utensils, and equipment.
Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
Empty bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with food safety and recycling procedures.
Support chefs with basic preparation tasks and event setup when required.
Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment, storage areas, and refrigerators.
Ensure health & safety and hygiene regulations are followed at all times.
About You
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn is a must have!
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
A food hygiene certificate would be great but essential as training will be provided.
