Opening in May 2025, The Arding Rooms is an new Private Members’ Club in the heart of Clapham Junction.  Set within a beautifully restored Art Deco Grade II listed building, our venue offers a sophisticated and welcoming space for dining, networking, and social events. Featuring a stylish restaurant, bar and stunning roof terrace, we aim to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our members and their guests.

We are looking for a passionate and driven Head Chef to start mid May, to lead the kitchen and bring our food vision to life!

The Role:

As Head Chef, you will have full ownership of the kitchen – from menu development and sourcing, to team leadership and service delivery. You’ll work closely with the General Manager and Events Team to create a food offering that’s seasonal, thoughtful, and perfectly aligned with the club’s relaxed but elevated feel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop menus that balance modern British influences with international touches
• Build and lead a high-performing, motivated kitchen team
• Manage kitchen operations, stock, and supplier relationships
• Maintain consistently high food quality and presentation
• Deliver both daily à la carte and bespoke event menus
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance at all times
• Be a hands-on leader in a busy kitchen 
• The Club will operate a full service 7 days a week

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a quality-led kitchen
• A strong grasp of seasonal produce, modern techniques, and cost control
• A calm, collaborative approach to leadership
• High standards and attention to detail, even during busy service/events
• Experience with new openings or developing menus from scratch is a plus
• Passionate about creating food that feels welcoming, fresh, and full of flavour
