The bit about us:
Founded in 2019, by 3 incredibly motivated entrepreneurs whose mission was clear - business should be a force for good. And by good we mean; we consider people and planet as well as profit. We are very proud to be a Certified B Corp!
We currently manage over 400,000 sq ft of hospitality focused co-working, event, and exclusive Clubspaces for over 5000 members. We operate across the UK, with offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Milton Keynes, with plans to launch more sites in 2025 (and beyond!).
The bit about the role:
As Community Host based on our ground floor reception desk, you will be across everything that happens within the building. Your main priority will be to warmly welcome all members and guests to our newest site at the beautifully restored Arding & Hobbs building in Clapham Junction, ensuring their initial interaction with our brand is impressively seamless.
In addition to meeting and greeting guests, you will respond to emails from current and prospective members, support internal and external event coordination, manage VIP visitors, build relationships with 3rd party stakeholders such as our suppliers, maintenance teams and local business partners, and ultimately be on hand to help our members and the wider x+why community with any ad hoc queries.
The bit about you:
Your friendly and approachable nature instantly puts people at ease – your positive attitude is infectious and everyone you interact you walks away a little happier!
You love being the “glue” that keeps everything ticking along, and enjoy collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. Trouble shooting is what you do best – you are solution based in your approach and as a highly visible Brand Ambassador, it is imperative you maintain your composure (and kindness!), even on the bumpiest of days!
Ideally, you have at least 3 years in a similar client facing role for a co working, lifestyle or 5 star hospitality brand.
NB: The building launches mid May, so we are looking for someone who can start early May. Core hours will be Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm, with occasional flexibility required.
